InterContinental Montreal Hotel (Montreal, Quebec) 2012 – 2020 Position: Director, Association Sales Responsible for $3.4 M in annual group sales for the Hotel’s Association Market. This sales goal was attained annually and surpassed by 10% in 2019. • Participated at a variety of industry meetings, tradeshows and client events in order to network with potential clients, enticing them to hold their next future meetings/conventions in Montreal and at our hotel. • Worked in collaboration with Tourisme Montréal (CVB) and the Palais des Congrès de Montréal (Convention Center) in building new and/or maintaining existing client relations, persuading them to select Montreal as their preferred destination to host their future events, more specifically using our facilities. • Organized Fam Trips for meeting planners and association executives; invited and hosted them for site-visits. Had them sample our Chef’s creations at breakfast, lunch or dinner, providing us with the opportunity to discuss their meeting space requirements and other considerations for booking their events at our property. • Developed various packages to promote the hotel so that the Associations and their attending delegates could benefit from our financial assistance programs.
